    I used to install free feature Post Status of PublishPress Planner, customized and started to use it for editorial process of a multi-author site. After a while the feature is disabled in PublishPress Planner and forwarded to install this plugin. All customization and editorial organization of my project has gone waste. Because status control functions requires Pro version on the post edit screen.

    There were four more custom status options in publish box before installation. Can I get them here again?

    @gokcer Do you have any translation tools on this site? I’m wondering why you see “Draft” and “Pending Review” in some areas, but the Turkish translation in other areas.

    @gokcer It’s okay. I didn’t necessarily expect disabling Permissions to solve it. It’s just a troubleshooting step.

    Did you also try that Statuses > Settings change I mentioned?

    We think there might be a problem with how the plugin is importing statuses from Planner, and I’m already looking into that.

    There is something else you can check, though. Go into Statuses > Statuses. Then click into one of the statuses that is missing from the dropdown.

    • Click into the Roles tab and make sure it is enabled for the role you’re using. If not, select and Update.
    • Click into the Post Types tab and make sure it is enabled for the post type you need. If not, select and Update.

    @stevejburge, yes I use loco translation. But these two phrase are the default translation of WP.

    I didn’t update PublishPress Statuses’ translation file yet, so the English phrases still exist. (I had updated them on Planner verison before, but they didn’t integrate with Statuses Plugin)

    Thanks @gokcer.

    Kevin has more advice above for you to follow. Let us know if that works.

    If it doesn’t work, it’s late on Friday night now, and you may want to restore the previous versions of the plugin over the weekend. This plugin can do that: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-rollback/

    @kevinb,

    • The De-clutter option is unchecked (as default). I also tested as checked.
    • Role settings are correct. I am admin and “admin” is already forced to be checked on all statuses.
    • Type settings on statuses are correct. We have one post type, so the setting is forced to be “all posts”
    • Type setting settings is correct. The only post type that we have is checked

    OK, thanks @gokcer. If time is an issue for you, please consider rolling back to earlier versions of the plugins while we continue to debug this.

    @gokcer If my previous directions didn’t help, please also let me know:

    • What WordPress version are you running?
    • If you go to Statuses > Statuses and add a new status, then drag it into the top section, does that show in the Post Status dropdown after refreshing the post editor?

    The statuses are shown as expected on quick edit box. This makes me think that the problem may be a bug.

    And the “go for pro” warning came back again as I reactivated Permissions plugin.

    (@kevinb)

    @gokcer Yes, it does seem to be a bug and my conversation with you is helping identify the conditions that cause it to happen.

    Can you tell me if the missing custom statues are ones that you added to Planner, or just the Turkish translations of built-in Planner statuses (Pitch, Assigned, In Progress) ?

    That Pro upgrade prompt from Permissions is a very old message that does not apply any more. It will be removed in the next Permissions update.

    @kevinb,

    WP version is 6.4.2. I added a new test status and draged it into the top section. It didn’t appear on the publish box too.

    As an additional info, the custom statuses are shown correctly on the “Content Calender”.

    @gokcer Are you running the Classic Editor plugin or using some other way to force Classic Editor?

    If not, try installing Classic Editor with default settings.

    I suspect that the plugin is not detecting Classic Editor. Or possibly, another plugin is conflicting with Statuses’ customization of the post publish metabox. Either way, I can make changes to the plugin for better compatibility.

    @kevinb,
    I use Avada Builder. It includes a classic builder option. As I deactivated the builder, my custom statuses appeared in the Gutenberg’s Publish Box. The conflict seems to be with Avada on my side.

    @gokcer,
    Thanks for that information. I have an idea how to improve compatibility, and will let you know once that update is available.

    @kevinb, @stevejburge thank you for your help. I will be waiting for the solution.
