    Jetpack Mechanic ??

I’m sorry to hear you’ve run into issues.

The Jetpack plugin does indeed require you to connect to a WordPress.com account to be fully activated.

To do so, you will have to create a WordPress.com account here:
    https://en.wordpress.com/signup/?user=1

If you had previously created an account, but forgot the password, you can request a new password by entering your email address here:
    https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
Please follow the instructions carefully. You’ll receive an email during the reset process, so make sure you read it for important instructions. If you don’t receive the email right away, check your spam folders as well. The confirmation email can get caught in them sometimes.

Once you’ve created the account, go to the Jetpack menu in your dashboard, and click on Connect.
If you run into issues while connecting, let me know what error message you get!

Please note that WordPress.com accounts are different from the account you use to administrate your blog. WordPress.com and self-hosted blogs available through www.ads-software.com are two different entities.
Please check out the following links to learn the differences.

    I hope this helps.

@jeremy, please help. I really enjoyed Jetpack until the last update, which just happened to coincide with my WIN10 upgrade, then everything went wrong. My site broke down with the infamous White Screen of Death server error 500 and could only be fixed by uninstalling Jetpack.

Now I miss it on my site. When will the conflict be fixed so that I can reinstall without a nasty repeat of this unfortunate event?

@thebrandihappenings Could you please start your own thread, as per the Forum Welcome?
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/jetpack#postform

It would also be useful if you could tell me more about that 500 error on your site, so I can dig into this a bit more.

Could you check your server error logs around the time when you experienced the issue, to find out more about the error?

If you don’t know how to access your server error logs, your hosting provider should be able to help.

    Thank you!
