The free version of this plugin is now essentially useless… the ONLY functionality it provides is to search for a YouTube video by keyword, then embed it into the page…. something you could have easily done by simply searching YouTube, then pasting the URL into your Post.

I’d give it three stars simply because it adds a button next to “Insert Media” to do this one (albeit limited) function — something the WP edit page ought to have anyway.

But I’m taking away a star because of all the teasers/adds/paywalls it puts in place pushing you to upgrade to the Pro version.

    Peckjon,

Thanks for the criticism; however, it’s also strange that you’re bashing probably the mostly highly requested feature. Many people don’t want to have to leave their editor tab to find a video on their device, whatever kind/size that device maybe. We also see the wizard as a basis for lots more in the future as well. Goals that are only made possible by the support of a PRO plan.

Also, no, the wizard is certainly not the “only feature” in the free version. We can’t tell you how many people like the fact that they can instantly turn off all the annoying annotations people put in their videos, or set a consistent size, or force HD quality, or make all the videos dynamically responsive to all screen sizes (all of which are free) etc. If you don’t care about any of this, then this plugin is certainly not for you.

Thanks for favoriting our other plugin though (well at least at the time of this writing).
