• This plugin only lets you create ONE course before it cuts you off and tells you you have to use the Pro version. It doesn’t say anything about that before or even after you download – it says nothing about having to upgrade until you’ve set up the entire site and are starting to create courses (and as I said, it only lets you create one).

Also, upgrading to the Pro version means that you have to get a monthly membership. If you give them your email address right now, you’ll get 60% off, so you’ll pay $19.60 per month. So if you don’t get the 60% off, clearly you’ll pay upward of $40.

I’m very disappointed and frustrated at having spent my time setting this plugin and theme up, only to find it can’t be used.

  • Hey Wanderlust,

The free version should be limiting you to two courses. It does create a sample course at the beginning, you can delete this then will have another course you can create ??

We mention the two course limit on the CoursePress description page here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/coursepress/

Also, upgrading to the Pro version means that you have to get a monthly membership. If you give them your email address right now, you’ll get 60% off, so you’ll pay $19.60 per month. So if you don’t get the 60% off, clearly you’ll pay upward of $40.

The on-going membership is for support and updates. You can always pay $19 for just CoursePress Pro and use it for as long as you like and only re-subscribe when you need support or updates ?? the subscription isn’t required to use the plugin.

Also, the monthly membership you see for 60% off also gives you access to 140+ other plugins you can try out too. Plus our new Upfront theme framework.

I do really appreciate your feedback here. We’ll continue monitoring this and if we find more users are feeling the same way then we can look into increasing the limit above 2 courses for the free version.

In-fact, if you contact me through our private contact form I’ll give you a free trial of the Pro version: https://premium.wpmudev.org/contact/

Select “I have a different question” and for the subject line enter “Attn: Tyler Postle“.

    Look forward to hearing back!

jeez it’s a lot for just a month. normally other plugin provders are offering annual subscription for this amount of they ask a bit more money and offering lifetime subscription. it’s very much. i can build my website with that amount and pay for it monthly, included everything in this price. I’m wondering to know how many customers you have by the way…

    Hey reinaldudras,

    Thanks for your feedback here!

You can pay just the $19 and use the plugin for as long as you want and on as many sites as you want then can pay for support on an as needed basis ?? you get the 1 month of support included in the initial $19 of course.

Or you can go for a full year as mentioned above and get all of our plugins plus support for a big discount – so if you know you’ll be needing support then it’s a good option to go with but if you don’t expect to need any support then just go with the 1 payment and come back if you ever do need anything.

Our support covers even general WordPress related questions too so it’s more than just for our products, we’ll help wherever we can ??

Let me know if you have any further questions!

    Cheers,
    Tyler

PS. We always have the current user count on our home page: https://premium.wpmudev.org/

Wanderlust should change or delete his/her unfair rating.

I have no connection to these developers. I’m just evaluating plugins for myself.

But when I see that wanderlust left a bad review because s/he didn’t read the instructions…

And when others chime in because they don’t like the price of the premuim plugin…

I feel compelled to speak out.

so, a one-off of $19 once only and it’s ours to use for ever?
    not $19 monthly

Quoted above: “You can pay just the $19 and use the plugin for as long as you want and on as many sites as you want”

@jrpmedia, that is correct ?? the on-going $19/mo is for access to support and updates only.

One payment of $19 will get you the plugin and 1 month of support and updates. Even after that month you can still use the plugin on all of your sites if you like.

If you have further questions @jrpmedia just contact us here: https://premium.wpmudev.org/contact/

    Cheers!

    PS. @hashimwarren – appreciate it ??
