    Hi @adityabelievintech,

there are some files with full access so these files aren’t restricted. Maybe the wording at the settings is misleading but this only means that some files can be generally excluded from the control of UAM.

    Greetings,
    Alex

I have created a user group called Verified Customer https://prnt.sc/7_9KAVtG0LIg which contains the following user roles

    • Verified customer
    •  GeneSys employees: customer verification
    •  Internal

    https://prnt.sc/T9Mn5hK5-W11

I have created the zip file in the media library in that zip file I have given access to the Verified customer user group https://prnt.sc/D5IR1F7yiVSS
but the non-logged-in users are still able to download the zip file using the link I want to restrict access to the zip file only to the verified user group.

Also, I have blocked the zip files in the plugin setting https://prnt.sc/dW7tyudaCAil

Can you please help to restrict it to the verified user group?

    Thank You

I agree that the instructions for restricting files needs to be massively improved. basically the settings i’ve used – similar to above do not add any value unless i restrict every individual pdf file in the media library.

@PluginOwner please provide more explanation how to restrict certain files in the Uploads directory.

@adityabelievintech Please verify if the .htaccess at YOUR_WORDPRESS_ROOT_DIR/wp-content/uploads/.htaccess is present. If so please try to set it to restrict all files and test with incognito mode of a browser of you choice.

    GM_Alex(@gm_alex) Thanks for the support

The .htaccess file is present in YOUR_WORDPRESS_ROOT_DIR/wp-content/uploads/
