User Access Permissions / User Roles

  • Hi,

    Is there a way to limit a user role type, for example “sales lead manager”, so that they can log in and only have access to Leads?

    I have User Roles Editor plugin already installed which lists lots of permissions for a custom role of “sales lead manager”, but none of the features or custom post types associated with this Leads plugin are listed there.

    Is there another way to do this?

  • I have implemented this using this plugin “admin Menu Editor”. using this plugin you can grant access to user roles to selected pages as you want. Just install this plugin and change user permissions to see the pages and sub pages. so when the admin logs in he will see complete admin menu and when a user with some other role(in my case “Contributer”) logs in he will see only the pages that are permitted to him. He will not be able to see the complete menu. using this plugin you can even hide menu items like if you want to hide comments link from the admin menu even for admin (in case you dont want to use it) you can do it simply be hiding it.
