User-Created Blog site

I have seen this option in buddypress where in registration user gets to create a blog site by entering a name in the field provided as such:
https://MyDomain.com/Emtpy Field
where “Empty Field” is where users enter a name for their blog site.
What I’m wondering is that if there are plugins or any other solutions that can offer just this option where I can customize it as I need.

I tried buddypress forum and did not get any response. I’d greatly appreciate your thoughts ans suggestions.
