user-driven listing capabilities

My current site uses listgo theme, it is a directory site that allows end users to submit their own listings. This theme is deprecated now, it has been recommended to use wilcity instead. But I don’t like the look as much as ones on https://www.thinkupthemes.com, like engrave.

But we are trying to find out if a theme like engrave can
1. Retain user driven content functionality. Will end users be able to submit businesses and/or other listings?
2. Can we segment listings between businesses types, like restaurants / retail / etc?
3. Any good recommendation for a google map plugin? We want nice-looking map on front page, as shown in the example https://demo.thinkupthemes.com/?theme=Engrave.
