    Hi Thomas,

Users can indeed submit and maintain their listings via the dashboard. The best way to handle this is to require registration for users so they have an account to associate listings to. Look under Directory Admin->Manage Options, Registration tab to enable this. You’ll also need to enable it for your site in general under Settings->General, and checking the Membership box.

I have seen and tried out this option, but it requires the user to be a Contributor, which would mean they can write new posts for approval, add new listings ready for approval and so on, when I just want to allow them to see/edit their own listings.

BD doesn’t require a Contributor role to edit listings on the back end if those listings are owned by the user. We only require subscriber for that.

Can you show me what you see for a user if the user owns the listing and they visit their dashboard and they are a subscriber? Use https://imageshack.us if you need to.
