User Email Confirmation is not being send

Is there a known issue with the user email confirmation?
Both the admin and User email confirmations are switched on, but only the admin email confirmation is actually received.
I’ve checked the junk/spam box (not in there). Also tried switching the admin and user email address around in which again only the admin confirmation mail (now received at the other email address) is received.I have not setup SMTP or other magic-IT-voodoo-shit or plugins, it should be plain WordPress and Forminator that handle sending the email.

I searched and there is another topic describing this problem, but it hasn’t been replied to by the support team. I hope creating a new topic will raise awareness?
