  • the only wat that I could find to allow visitors to submit events was to pretty much give them administrative privileges in settings. Granted, this does not give you the option to “approve” them, but if you give form added events a different name (ie: new_events), then they are easy to find.

    I am sure that there is a proper way, but I have not found it

    I figured you could do the WordPress admin thing, but was hoping a simpler way was available. (Would be a GREAT ‘future feature’)

    I think I’ll set up a form to allow users to enter items then transpose them manually.

    you can use shortcode [event_form] then uncheck user capability publish_events under Events > Settings > General > User Capabilities if you want admin approval
