We use Formidable Forms for all of our forms on our website. The majority include an option to upload a file (sometimes required). We have had multiple users reach out with frustrations regarding this function. Legitimate users who try to upload valid files are given a spam error.

How can we resolve this to still filter real spam but not hinder UX for legitimate users?

  • Hi @tylerbeairsto,

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this!

Are you running the latest version of Formidable Forms? Our developers very recently fixed a bug related to the spam filter on file upload fields, so updating to version 4.09.05 will likely resolve this issue for you.

If your plugin is already up to date but you continue to receive new reports about this, please open a support ticket and we will be happy to investigate further.

Thank you for your response. Our version is up-to-date, and we are still experiencing this issue.

I have created a support ticket to hopefully resolve this soon.
