    Hello there,

I’m trying to achieve the following:
There are two User Groups (A and B) a user can register for. Those User Groups have different capabilities. The users of User Group A should be able to create new user groups and new topics within that group. But they should not be able to edit anything about User Groups A and B.
Can this be done? And how?

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello @duckeroo,

Thank you for writing to us.

ProfileGrid works based on group structure and you may also use conent restriction feature to restrict the content for a group.

ProfileGrid extension “Group wall” allows only group members to create a post in a groupand comment on that. For more details you may visit the link :https://profilegrid.co/how-allow-user-to-submit-post-and-upload-media-to-their-group-walls/

Using ProfileGrid extension “Menu Restriction”, you may display a menu for creating user groups to a specific group members or you may use the conent restriction feature to restrict the conent for a group. For  details on menu restriction, please visit the link: https://profilegrid.co/apply-menu-restrictions/ . For details on conent restriction, please visit the link : https://profilegrid.co/wordpress-content-restriction/

You may allow group memebrs to create groups from front end using the extension “Frontend Group Creator”. For details on this, please visit the link : https://profilegrid.co/create-new-wordpress-groups/

    Hi there,

thank you for your reply and some clarifications.
However, I still am not sure how to achieve what I am trying to do. Let me repeat my question and try to clarifiy:

There are two User Groups (A and B) a user can register for. These are paid groups. Those User Groups have different capabilities. The users of User Group A should be able to create new user groups (like group C and group D) and new topics within that group (C or D). But they should not be able to edit anything about User Groups A and B.
Additionally, the users of User Group B should be able to join the groups C and D, but they should only be allowed to read and comment on posts of C and D, but not to create new topics.

Could you point me in the right direction here?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello @duckeroo,

Plugin allows to create two paid Group A and B.? Extension “Menu restriction’ allows to show the menu of Group creation only to Group A members and extension “Frontend Group Creator” allows group A members to create groups like C and D.? Users can be manager of the group created by them, and can create a topic on group created by them using the group wall extension.? As the group A member creates the Group C or D, he can post the topic on Group A as well.?

If Group B member join the group C or D, he can create the topic on those group after join, and it cannot be restricted.   I hope this helps, let us know if you have any other questions.
