    Hi,

As per post here: https://goo.gl/a2Z6g we are still having issues with users group function.

    Basically, there are 2 issues:

    1) When there is a Usergroup and one adds some members to it, if one of the members gets updated the whole UG would be resetted. Will end up with 0 users

    2) If a member is added (through the Users page) to a UG, once another member gets updated, the UG will end up with only the LATEST member.

I have prepared a youtube video – which can be reached at : https://youtu.be/1HcXuzS1Gms [will be available in an hr or so – slow upload]

Hopefully this would give a clearer picture of what is wrong and can help us move forward.

    Many thanks for your help

Wish you and your team a nice Easter

  • So it looks like this might be an issue with W3 Total Cache. Would it be possible for you to check this on your end by temporarily disabling W3 Total Cache? If so, after it’s disabled see if some of the issues you’re encountering go away.

Yes! cojennin – you are right – disabling w3 total cache fixed it .. so how can i get these 2 plugins working together please? or maybe some other alternative to w3?

Yea, this is a gnarly issue because it appears to be a problem related to the object caching in W3TC, but W3TC doesn’t provide a lot of hooks to alter how or what objects are cached. The issue looks to be triggering because a change in the ef_usergroup description value on EditFlow’s end, which W3TC is caching.

There are other alternative caching plugins out there which you can try, one of which is WP Super Cache. That might solve the problem.

Daniel might have some more information on this or some possible alternatives to W3TC if he pops on later. In the meantime, I’ll keep messing around with it to see if I can figure anything more out.

@cojennin How did you track this down? Can you provide more specifics?

@daniel – installing wp super cache fixed that problem .. however now I’m getting that some users are not being notified of their emails – with regards to my user I’m receiving everything

Can you have them check their spam folder?

Daniel problem was fixed due to to trying to many other changes before in order to get it to speed. So now that is fixed

is there any hope for total cache to get sorted? super cache is failing on on_start so if there is some hope with w3 total cache i would prefer to return back to it
