• Hi Nice Likers,

It would be nice if the likes are restricted to/uniquelized by user_id for logged-in users rather than user-ip as the user-ip is often updated from the user-end (by reseting modem, changing a device, using proxy, VPN .. etc) allowing the same post/page to be liked by the same user more than once.

Just a Suggestion from a fellow dev

    Thanks

  • Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

That’s a really nice suggestion. We’d love to have it, and hopefully, we can do something like that in the near future.

    Best,

    Hi Nice Likers,

I am curious about the status of this ticket. It would be extremely useful to store likes by username rather than IP. I like the plugin and would rather not have to switch to an alternate plugin if this is a soon-to-be feature. Please let me know!

    Hi Nice Likers,

Is a solution for this in the queue?

In addition to @zahirkelloud use case, we are trying to use this plugin on an internal company blog. Using our internal network, we have a limited number of IP addresses used by a much larger population, causing the plugin to not accept likes by the large majority of users, once one has clicked the ‘like’ button.

    Cheers,
    Steve
