Hi, is this meant for GeoDirectory? If so can you explain more what you are trying to do? If you just want to get the author ID of a listing you can use:
    geodir_get_listing_author($listing_id);

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    Thank you for your answer.
This is a third-party plug-in. I’ve been looking for internal messages for some time. I described my problem here:

I’ll check it out soon. I will write if it works.

    Thank you and best regards

    Hi @lipawdziczy,

not sure this is the solution for you, especially because the plugin is not free, but we have this plugin that allows users to send a direct message to listing owners, inspired by the Facebook messenger interface.

    https://userswp.io/downloads/private-messages/

You’ll need to install UsersWP as well and it will allow sending messages to listing owner by adding the UWP > Message widget somewhere on the listing detail page and using ‘post_author’ in the User ID option of the widget or shortcode.

Let us know if that helps.

    Thanks,

    Thanks @paoltaia

At first glance, the plug looks good.
Is the message sent directly to the advertiser? Is it necessary to first select an advertiser from the list? then send a message.

I can see you can put a shortcode. So that’s probably the solution.

Is there a demo of the news?

At the same time, I am talking to your team about the application. Testing an app from a different developer. But your application looks much better.

When you add the UWP > Message shortcode/block in the detail page, it adds a button to the listing. When that button is clicked, it opens a chat with the listing owner directly, no need to set up anything else.

We built it with Facebook pages in mind…

    I don’t have a demo yet, but I’ll build it asap…

The plugin author has updated all the data he needs.
Now “userID” is retrieved automatically. The plugin works as expected.

I am talking to your department about the application. It would be good to see the solution proposed by you (internal messages) in the application.

“dService” is also a chat? I was looking at the chat at the bottom of the page, but I think I’m doing something wrong because the messages are disappearing. No messages appear in the demo user panel.
