User in multiple groups

  • Just a simple question that I did not see answered.

    Can a user be in multiple groups. To explain, consider a church where one member could be in the Men’s Group, the Mission Group, the Choir, and a Trustee. Another user might be in the Teachers group, the Youth group, etc.

    When anyone is on a group page, only members of that group would see the protected content.

    Is there a front-end interface for members to manage what groups they are in?

    Yes the user can be member in more than one groups.
    The administrator can add or remove users to groups either in the User list overview, or for each user individually.

    You can make an interface for the users to join or leave a group by using the shortcodes [groups_join group=”X”] and [groups_leave group=”X”] in a page.
