user links inactive after upgrade

When I updated this plugin for one of our sites, the social icons and other links for each user’s directory listing were no longer clickable. I was not sure if it was some CSS customization we had done conflicting with updates, as we had made larger avatars ourselves and adjusted, but going back to 1.6 “fixed” the problem. Thoughts? Has anyone else experienced that? (I rolled back so the issue is not viewable.)
