user login changed by itself

  • Hello,
    I encountered a problem which happened for a second time by itself. the user has not logged in.
    the email address changed but to an address form the domain that website uses.
    Does someone know if it is some error in database, plugin, or could be hacking attempt? I am using Wordfence.

    Try to do full scan of your site with Wordfense.

    if it the same user they might have entered the wrong information before and the browser might have cached the information and just reinserting it when they are filling out the form.

    thank you for the replies, yet:
    – wordfence sees no problems
    – the email changed in the database, not that user was entering wrong email

    Do you think it might be a possiblity that the fact that the user logged on 2 different devices in different languages at the same time might have caused a corruption of the database? thank you.
