Can you please an option for User mapping?

I am currently exporting WP blogs and importing into new setups with existing users, Thus I have to delete the wp_users Table and then replace all user_id’s in wp_posts to match what is the same user on the new blog site. I also delete wp_option, wp_links, and wp_usermeta. So having an option to exclude tables would be greate too ??

    Thanks,
    -Bill

Hi Bill, the pro version has an option to choose which tables you want to migrate. No immediate plans to roll it into the free version, but it could happen in the future.

Well defiantly thing about about user mapping.. For for instance, it would chnage all posts with user ID 1 to 7 or other. Right now I just do a String replace after the fact, but it would be nice ??

even if its just for the pro version!

The “user mapping” use case you describe is very specific to what you are doing and I’ve never had a request for this from anyone else. If I do get requests for this, I might consider adding it, but ultimately all of what you describe could be put in an SQL script that you run after an import.
