The module in the top menu for logged in users has disappeared from the general pages of my site. Before, it said, “Howdy!” with the user name, avatar and a dropdown with the option to edit your profile.

The only option for users now is to “log out”. They can’t get to their profile page from anywhere on the site.

As an administrator, that module still appears on my dashboard page but isn’t there when I visit any other pages on the site.

Any idea how I can fix this?

I’m using WordPress 4.0 and widget version 6.3.10

    Any help much appreciated.

I found the answer in another post: the avatar and login menu do not appear for administrators except on the dashboard page. It appears to be working fine for other users. Probably something I just never noticed before.

No problem with the widget, just pilot error.
