    Hi Antoine,

I was wondering if there is a quick fix for view in /user page.

Right now in /user page user can go an view their predictions, for games that have ended to see the points they got. The problem is that /user page shows all the past games as well, so if you’re mid tournament, you have to scroll quite a lot and it is easy to scroll past the right game.

So I was wondering if it is possible to change the view, so only games within the timeframe of today are shown, and past games are hidden behind drop down or any other way, so they are still accessible.

Solution could be something similar that is used for /pool page, where it only shows matches which cannot be changed anymore, but instead only games with playdate of today and in future are shown.

Just red through options again and found this, would this solve the issue, or would it still show all the historical games as well?

    Hi,

The mentioned option will not help you. That will still show all the historic matches as well.

There is an option to filter matches for this page. But you’ll need to write some PHP code for it. Removing past matches will be the easiest option, but if you filter them out, then also historic data won’t be shown.

If you don’t want to remove matches, but want to ‘collapse’ the old matches then I do not have a solution. There are some CSS classes on closed matches that you may be able to use in a piece of javascript, but I haven’t tried anything like this. And also this requires some custom coding.

One other solution is the option you found in combination with the Match Order setting. If you don’t show matches that are not yet finished on the user page and you order matches date descending (newest to oldest), then users won’t need to scroll on the user page and they can still see the historic matches. Just beware that the Match Order setting will also influence the order on the prediction form, which is something that you may not want. In that case you would need a small extension to revert the order for the prediction form.

So no easy way for this. I guess I am not going to mess with this mid tournament and wait out for later.

Thank you for the answer nevertheless.

I created a small extension that forces date ascending sort for the matches and prediction form page (regardless of the setting in the plugin options). If you use this together with the two settings I mentioned earlier:

then I think you have something that comes close to what you want.

Sorry for the late response, did not get notification about your reply in email.
    Thank you Antoine, again!

As the IIHF is close to an end, I will not mess with it ?? But I will test it right after the tournament and will let you know, if it works. Thanks, amazing support as always.
