User Password

try retrieve_password
It needs user_login var.

https://localhost/api/user/retrieve_password/?user_login=john

On user registration is it possible to set the password?

Like this:

localhost/api/user/register/[email protected]&[email protected]&nonce=01bb83d8b9&display_name=Steve%20Jobs&user_pass=123456

When I run the above URL to register a new user the password is not being used and it’s using an auto generated password. Any help would be much appreciated.

yes. just provide the password like this &password=8nfnfhjcnsjnw

This is also mentioned in the ‘Other Notes’ tab on plugin page and all other optional params.

Adding &password=8nfnfhjcnsjnw to the end does not create the password. Have you tried and had it work successfully?

Ok, figure it out. I had a conflicting plugin that was not enabling the use of user generated passwords. Thanks Ali, awesome plugin! Are you available for custom work?
