• I have a multisite wordpress installation that is current v 6.2.2

I have the main site and one additional site. Same issue on both sites, but I have been focused on the main site. I have created the new user in the main site and am sure the user has permissions to that site.

I have an issue where an editor level user cannot see any pages in the backend. It says there are 96 pages, 84 published, however none are visible.

If I create & publish a new page with that user account, that one page is visible.

If I change the author to a different user (editor level or other) it is no longer visible to the original editor account.

I have tried using the User Role Editor plugin (editor role has 10/10 capabilities for pages including edit others pages) and have even reset all roles to core defaults. The same issue remains.

It seems only a super admin level account is able to view all the pages no matter who created them.

    Any help is appreciated!

Editors should have capability to edit, delete, and publish others pages. Without all 3, page listings may be restricted. Note that it’s possible to remove capabilities from individual users even if their assigned role has them for other users. Not all roles and capabilities plugins are able to see when this is done. It may be necessary to directly examine a user’s capabilities record in the DB.

If visibility is not due to missing capabilities, it’s likely your theme or a plugin is altering the query being used to list pages in the admin area. To narrow down the culprit, selectively switch themes and deactivate plugins until the page listings are as expected. Which ever was last switched out or deactivated will be the cause.

Thanks for the reply, I had already gone through deactivating plugins and that did not change anything. I have now tried switching themes and that did in fact allow the editor to see all the pages. I will see if I can sort out where in the theme this is happening.
