I’m new to WordPress and I’m getting the hang out of it with every day, but something that I’m still very unclear about are those photos in the comment section. The comment section of WordPress has photos next to the comments, I’m wondering how are users inserting their own photos into those placeholders?

Is there a place where all users register their accounts upload the photos and then they’re able to simply post on any blog with their names? Or how does it work?

    Yes. Gravatar.com. I think it’s by email address. It’s a great system.

That would also mean to not use a public email address because somebody else could simply pretend to be you by typing your email address in.

I’ve researched Gravatat for a second and found out that they’re not even making any money out of it, pretty interesting, seems be like a nice company though.

Well. Imposters are known to exist everywhere. There’s no foolproof way to stop someone from faking being you.
