    Hi

I need submissions coming through Postie to publish under the username of the submitter. I see directions that say ” If you would prefer to have users post under their own name – create a WordPress user with the correct access level.” However this is a bit unclear to me (sorry). Do you mean set each user with the correct access level? I have done that. All users are set to Author, and Author is a role that is authorized to post. But it is still defaulting to the admin role to publish.

    Thanks,

    Amy

You need to ensure that the email address for the WordPress user exactly matches the “from” email when the submitter sends their email to the Postie address.

I have it set so the sender is showing up in the from field when I see the email. However, that is the “Name” field and not the “from email”. I can only edit the latter field if I set up SMTP settings within VFB Pro. When I tried that, then Postie didn’t work. Might there be a workaround?

You can try using the “Authorized Addresses” setting. Enter in the “from” email in this setting.

Where would I see the authorized addresses setting?

    Thanks

Look in the User tab in the Postie settings.
