User Profile – Not responding

    Hi,

    I have the WPFORO on my website. Everything seems to be working fine except the user profile section. Users are unable to update their profile information (descriptions, avatar, etc). The issue kicks when you click “Save” button, where nothing happens. I have tried this on every browser and still the save button is not responding and no change can be made to user profile.

    Any idea what could be the issue?

    Hi @gserpent,
    I guess this is a cache issue,
    If you have cache plugin installed on your WordPress, please exclude wpForo from the cache plugin. Check the below FAQ Topic About cache plugins and how to exclude wpForo from them:

    Also, if you have a minifying plugin or your cache plugin has that option, exclude wpForo from minifying too.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the tip, but I have made sure that all caching plugins are bypassed but the issue still exists.

    When I presss the save button it looks like it still ask me to fill some of the required fields but non of the fields are really required and even when I fill all fields in, still getting the same error.

    Any clue what else could be the issue?

    I have checked your website and found out that there is a plugin or script which requires to fill Website, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, VKontakte, Twitter, YouTube fields, without filling them the page cannot be saved.

    @gserpent, those fields are not set to required by wpForo, the script or plugin works on your website and set the fields required.

    @gvectorsdevs But I cannot see how another plugin could affect the profile page of WPFORO! Any idea how I can troubleshoot the best?

    @gserpent,
    I can’t help you, if it is a script on your website, but for plugins, you can deactivate the plugins one by one and check the account.
