User profile photos disappearing after activating Ultimate Member

    I’m using the Besocial theme to create a bbPress forum site. Everything works fine until I activate Ultimate Members upon where the users’ profile photos disappear and are replaced by a gravatar. I’ve spent hours trying to figure this out with no luck. Please help!

    I know it works as I had it working a few days ago but must have changed something. I’ve tried uninstalling all plugins leaving just UM, bbPress and BuddyPress. If I deactivate UM the photos appear but as soon as I reactivate it they go again. Also tried uninstalling UM, removing all data and reinstalling but no joy.

    I should say this only happens on the forums where the user photo is next to the user name. If I click on the missing photo the link will take me to the user’s member page where I’ll see their photo. The photos of the members also show on the main page carousel so they’re showing everywhere apart from the forums i.e. topics & replies.

    Hi @leithatia,

    Please go to the Ultimate member -> Settings -> General -> Users section and uncheck “Use Gravatars?” option and see if it helps.

    Hi and thanks for getting back to me.

    I’ve tried that and every other option I could find but it still doesn’t show the original photo that the user uploaded. Unfortunately, I’ve had to disable the plugin as this was a deal breaker for me.
