User profile update does not work

    Hello good afternoon, I have a big problem.

    When the User accesses the area to update your profile and click the gear appears sometimes all fields for editing and sometimes only biography. and when the User fills in all fields and click or “V” to update or profile update button all data disappear and return all blank. The screen just flashes and disappears all.

    But I found that when the logs out and logs User data again updated station … but if you try to upgrade again encounter the same error.

    The same happens with the photos cover and profile.

    The other functions of the plugin are all functioning normally.

  • Champ, that setting was already turned off however, I tried it “on” and then “off” again and the problem remains. Can you please contact me at [email protected] and I will give you admin access to my backend so you can see the issue?

    To be more specific about where the problem is… domain/my-account/general/ – the page constantly reloads

    Hi Everyone,

    I’ve traced the issue on @justinroman’s site. It’s a theme conflict with Ultimate Member’s Select2.js script that’s causing the automatic refresh page. I am working on a patch. I’ll get back to you.

    on my side the problem given by chrome console is:
    Uncaught RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded
    with the file um.min.js:5

    if this can help? Do you have an idea when a correction will be available as a lot of my members can not update their profiles on two of my websites.

    Doesn’t work!

    I deactivated previous version and installed pre-release. Now the system does not recognise user’s account page and returns 404!! So now I can’t test if the original problem is fixed.

    Also, in the plugin dashboard, I deactivated version 1.3.52 however, the pre-release shows as version 1.3.52 also

    Hi @justinroman – I deactivate/active the Ultimate Member and user profile page is working now.

    Can you please do a plugin/theme conflict test on your site? This seems like a compatibility issue with the theme/plugin after WP 4.5.2 update.

    The profile page is now working but the original problem of the account/general page constantly reloading remains. Can you please explain for those of us that do not know how to do a conflict test, how to do it please?

    Hi,

    I’ve updated to v1.3.53 and the problem is still present, members cannot update their profiles. It was working well with v1.3.51.
    Now I have more errors than before when I try to update a profile:

    Uncaught RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded
    um.min.js:5

    Uncaught TypeError: jQuery is not a function
    um-activity.js:1

    the second one was not present with v1.3.52…worse and worse…

    Have you tried changing your Theme to default WP theme and see if the problem persist?

    Good day .. the error persists. I would like to give you a living example .

    This is not possible as my site is in production with always more than 100 people online on it, reverting to default theme is not something I can do unfortunately…
    But what I know is that everything was working fine until v1.3.52 of UM and I don’t made any major change to my theme or plugins configuration.
