I installed Simple History because we are interested in tracking when users update their profiles. I logged out from my admin account, and logged in as another user and updated my profile. Then logged out from that account, and logged in again with the admin account and the History log only showed that the other used logged in and logged out. I also searched with Message Type “User Profile Updates” and there were no history events found. What is needed for the history log to show user profile updates?

    Thanks for your help.

It should show changes made to user accounts by default. I just tried it on my local test site and it worked:

What changes did you make to the profile? Perhaps there are some things I have missed.

Perhaps the problem is that we have added custom fields to the user profile using a plugin “Paid Memberships Pro”.

I just tried changing a standard field in my profile – password, and the same problem, only my logging in and out is recorded.

That could probably be the reason. Sometimes there are incompatibilities with other plugins. I only test Simple History with “standard” WordPress behavior.
