    Hello all,

a customer of ours has just contacted us about problems after the registration process. After a user has been registered, he must first be approved before he can log in.

As far as I know, we do not have such a function in use. Every visitor can register and is immediately released. I have also not found a way to manually release a user afterwards.

At first I thought that this came from the “Ultimate Member” plugin (I can make such a setting there). However, the plugin is not in use on this website.

Do you have any idea how this can happen and how the problem can be solved? It is about the following online shop: https://www.argen.de/shop/

I would be happy to provide you with access data to the backend if you would like to take a look at the whole thing yourself. Just let me know!

I would be very happy to hear from you!

    Many thanks & best regards,
    Manuel

  • Hi @manuelschoettle

    Thanks for reaching out!

Firstly, I apologize for the delayed response.

Just to confirm, are you referring to the My Account page here? If so, I checked your site, created a test user here: https://www.argen.de/shop/mein-konto/, and I am successful in creating one. This is what I am seeing on my end after registering:

This is the email I received afterwards:

Can you please confirm if the issue has been resolved here already? If so, please share with the community your solution that might help others as well ??

Otherwise, please share with us a link or a screenshot of the registration page you are referring to here so that we could address you more effectively.

If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, you can try https://snipboard.io or https://skitch.com/. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

    Thanks!

    Hello @xue28,

Thank you very much for your message!

In the meantime, we were able to find out what the problem was. In the plugin “All In One WP Security” there is a setting “Activate manual approval of new registrations”. This option was ticked.

After we unchecked it, everything worked without any problems! ??

    Thank you and best regards,
    Manuel
