• Just a question,

    What is wp-signup.php ??

I’ve got my Blog running on my domain without registrations, just comments by @mails.

All good till i would like to add a Forum or a kinda members section to my site, because i don’t wanna mess up my WordPress site (root) with lots of data and other stuff that could wreck my WordPress install, i was thinking of WP Multi and on a second WordPress site i could install bbPress.

Few days ago i activated the plugin and it’s running perfect, build my own custom theme based on the Child theme of my homepage (root)

Only problem i face right now is when i’m testing to sign-up as a new member.

I first go the bbPress User_Rigister page fill out some data, (username + @mail) and press add. But guess what, instead of signing up i will be taken to a blanc (white) page, ending at this url wp-signup.php ??? I have to fill out the same user + @mail again to sign up ?

Thats this all about and why is this on a Blanc (White) page that looks broken?

    thanks for the help.

wp-signup is the page people register through for MultiSite.

If it’s blank, try switching themes back to 2011 and see if that works.

    Thanks,

Is it not possible to delete or redirect that wp-signup.php file?

If you install the bbPress plugin it will attach a Forum to your site-/blog and with that plugin comes a nice registration page (input boxes) but when you fill out those input boxes and hit the sign-up button it will load this wp-signup.php file.

Result you can start all over again, pulling out those two input boxes.
    Not very user friendly.

    Don’t delete core files. Ever.

You can redirect it, but MultiSite needs it. Better to make bbpress use it correctly (which wuold be a question for bbpress.org)

I think i have two options here,

Redirect my custom bbPress register page directly to wp-signup.php (Root) but that would not ‘style’ wp-signup.php into my custom theme style.

And something else, i could redirect wp-signup.php to my theme folder where i can customize that file.

But after every update i have to repeat this (redirecting) step over and over again.

    You can theme signup though.

Or do it with .htaccess and set it and forget it.
