User registration plugin forces strong password when it’s disabled

  • Hi,
    I’m using the plugin “User Registration” for an E-commerce website.
    I want to ALLOW WEAK PASSWORDS when users registrar, that works. But if the login with a weak password so they are linked to some default page of WordPress, offering them to change to a strong password. I don’t want that to happen. My goal is that whatever password the user signed up with and was valid, he/she can use it without getting this offer from WordPress.

    how can I make it happen?

  • Which plugins are you using? Can you post a screenshot of that default page?

    Currently, WordPress only has a strong password meter, and the user is not redirected to another page.

    As stated above, contact the developer of the plugin, or go to the plugin’s settings and check if you can disable that behavior.

    My point is that although I disabled the required strong password (allowing a week on to be valid) it still pups-up the recommendation to change user’s password to a strong one.
    I want that the pop-up will not show, what does not work now, even though if you enter a week password, it is valid and will let you register & login.

    So I guess that I should contact the plugin developer.
    OK.
