User Role Editor – Read rights don’t seem right with WPAmelia

We use WPAmelia, we also have a ticket with them running but they asked to also make a support ticket over here :). It bassically comes down to the following (this is a snippet of the ticket with WPAmelia support).
“We have a custom role set up via User Role Editor with read rights. This should only give the user read rights.
However when logged in as the user they are still able to make appointments on the backend and even able to delete events..
How can we disable this for the user role? Mistakes are being made and it is cumbersome for the organization to call the customer afterwards :).”
