    Hi

User role restriction doesn’t work with Buddypress. Every user has access to the frontend though not being in the frontend list (and then to every page)
    A way to change that?

    Hey @locker17,

    Thank you for using LightStart!

I just tested the User Role restriction, and everything works as expected.

Please let us know what you want to achieve and what is happening. Additionally, can you please share the URL of your website?

I want if the maintenence mode is switched on that only admin can login. So I left the field for frontend and backend roles empty. Nevertheless I can login with a subscriber role. And display the members page for example (anydomain.com/members/)
Is that what it supposed to do? Could it be that because buddypress hooks in the auth process this is not working?

Cannot share my page cause I am still running it on localhost for testing purposes. Sorry.

    hi @locker17,

I have tested this issue on my end too, but wasn’t able to replicate it, can you please provide a screencast video or screenshots of the issue in detail so we can check that and help you out?

    Best regards
