We have a role called “Customer”.

I am setting “WordPress new user Role” to “Customer” in the “Auth Codes” tab.

I have also tried setting “New User profile slug” to “Customer” in the “Register User” tab.

    When I register a user through /simple-jwt-login/v1/users, I am sending email, password, AUTH_KEY, user_login and user_registered.

The user is successfully created. However, the users Role is being set to “None”.

Can someone offer assistance in getting the users Role to be set to “Customer”? thanks in advance!

    Hello @tocleora,

First of all, sorry for my late response.

Thank you for reporting this issue. I will have a look, and I will come back with updates.

    Best regards,
    Nicu.

    Hiya:

I am having the same issue. I’ve put subscriber in:

    New User profile slug
Example: administrator, editor, author, contributor, subscriber More details

both with and without the ` and I’ve tried adding roles: subscriber as a role and nothing works.

Please let me know if you see what is happening.

    Thanks,

    Ben.

okay, I’ve done a bit more digging and it looks like people are actually being subscribed with the role of ‘Subscriber’ but when you look at the list of users it says “None” (yet user can still log in). Any ideas?

    Hello,

I’ve just checked again this feature, I’ve installed WooCommerce and I have created a new user with the role “customer” by using the “Auth codes”.

Everything works OK on my side. The user was successfully created, and I can see the user orders.

Also, I’ve managed to replicate this issue, by using the “Customer” role name instead of the lower case “customer”.

@bwaymark @tocleora: Please try using lower case role names ( in this case customer ).

PS: Please don’t forget to rate this plugin.

    Best regards,
    Nicu.
