user settings keep resetting on their own!

So this plugin seems to work well….most of the time. However, three times since we’ve launched this new site, settings have reset themselves.
- I had set certain pages as private, users needed to login. Users logged in, were sent to their profile but when they went to other private pages it asked them to log in again in a loop. Turns out the member level settings on Pages had reset without me touching them. Only admin could view.
- I originally had the menu items that were private/hidden. But I changed the menu items to be shown to everyone, just to keep the layout from being funky. Once I did this, members could not view the content and were told to login over and over. I changed the menu items back to private, then public again, and it now works.
- What users can view (I have three member levels) was turned off on each level so no one showed up in the member directory. This was one of the first things I set, and it had been working for a week. Then suddenly, only one member level could see all members. I had to reset what members could view private content under Users, and it worked again.
I’m really getting frustrated, as is the group who keeps having things appear and disappear. Any idea why my settings aren’t saving and/or resetting? Thanks
