User Specific Plugins?

    I want to create a plugin that does things specific to a wordpress login. For example, you login to WordPress and go to your profile. In your profile will be a field that has been added by this plugin. You type some text in this field, save and logout. The I login and go to my profile. I have the same field but it contains data that I put into it. Any ideas?
