User submitted posts redirect to ?p=post_id which is an Error 404 page

    Try using one of the default themes of WordPress to see if the problem persists. Themes are often the cause of problems

    I’m having the same trouble. I’m trying to post to a custom post type as pending status but it keeps giving me a 404 page after submitting the post on the front end. And the email I receive as admin also forwards to a 404 page, so I’m not even able to mark the post as “reviewed”. Any suggestions?

    Obviously this doesn’t happen normally to Frontend so something else is causing this.

    1. Try using one of the default themes of WordPress to see if the problem persists. Themes are often the cause of problems.

    2. Disable other plugins to see if they are the cause of the problem.

    Tell us the results of above and what versions of Frontend and WordPress you are using and your theme.
