user switching causes 502 error

  • Hello.
    The user switcher module isn’t working since updating to the latest version. Clicking switch user causes a 502 bad gateway error.
    Is this a known error? Is there a fix?

    Hi @charlotte23,

    There is no known error and it’s unusual for us to see this; it’s only happened a handful of times and has always been something in the environment. The host may have logs indicating what’s causing the error, but it might be a useful test to disable our module temporarily and trying https://en-ca.www.ads-software.com/plugins/user-switching/. If it works, it does seem like it might be an issue on our side.

    I’m also curious, in other situations we have seen it associated with specific roles. Is the behaviour any different if you switch to an administrator user vs. a subscriber vs. a Group Leader?

    I updated the version from 3.3.2 to 3.3.3 and that resolved the issue.
