User to choose whether to display result

While this may be covered in the documentation, I cannot find it. Apologies if so.

Can I set it so my users can toggle the visibility of a profile item if they choose? For example, if I am asking for 100 items in a profile, I want the user to answer all of them but have the user choose (only in some cases), whether to make the information public.

For example, for a job ad or a real estate listing, I need the user to complete the full profile if information is available but the user can decide if they want to make the salary for the job ad public or not. In some cases, only admin will decide, in some cases the user would have the option. How can I accomplish this?
