Username and Password

You can use the Private feature in WordPress. When you publish a post you can set it as private. Then create a WordPress username and password for the users to access it.

Yes Sir I can do that but I want that page to be visible in my website. It will be hidden unless the user is logged-in.

@iamnewtowordpress : I don’t have experience with what you’re asking for BUT I wonder if this could work for what you’re trying to achieve. Select the visibility status “password protected” for your page, and type in a password. The page remains visible in your menus. When a visitor clicks on it to view it, they’ll get a message to type in the password. So no user name, just a password. And the site admin gets to set the password, and you can change it when needed. Just a thought.

@kubegusa: that is working sir. i tried it already but i have several members that needs to have their own username and password. they don’t want to have only one password for all of them.

When you make a page private you can only assign one password for anyone to access that, and only that, page. This method is great for when you want to hide a single page’s content, though, don’t need nor want to create users in your system.

In your case, however, you really want to create a new user for each person I would assume at subscriber level, or, allow them to register on their own.

From this point, there are multiple ways to hide content from non-logged in users. If you are not good with php you can try a plugin such as this one. (I have not used this plugin, I am suggesting you find one that works best for you)

Also, now would be a good time to make sure your Settings/General are correct for registration.
