Username inactive? Domain expired

  • Hello,

    I’ve been trying to revive my word press account after a year and a half of allowing my domain to expire. I renewed the domain through 1and1.com the same company I used to buy it. I’m going through my regular email and see emails coming to me from word press in the past but whenever I click “forgot password” and type in my email address it says my account cannot be found.

    I wonder if a domain expired is it possible your word press account would expire as well? I just re registered using the same email that I had old WordPress emails from. I’m very confused.
