Username is email address.

    I have installed wordpress on ipage and am getting really confused with it all. Somewhere along the way I have been given my email address as my username which it now says I cannot change. When I try to make a post on my blog it says this post was published by – “my email address”. Obviously I don’t want it to display my personal email address everytime I publish a post. How do I get this changed? I can’t find anyway of contacting anyone for help with this?

    If you’re not satisfied with the answer I’ll let you know how to do it by accessing the database admin.

    Sweet, done it. Thanks a lot. Now my profile picture is gone though and I don’t see an option to add one? The avatar over there<<< No big deal. I think the confusion came because I have an old blog and must have used the same email address or something as I didn’t upload that picture of myself just now when I registered here for the support forums, but the picture is showing?

    Anyway, thanks, at least now my email address isn’t displayed each time I post something to my blog!

    Do you mean that your gravatar is not showing? The gravatar is connected with the email address. So if the new user has a different email address then that’s the reason why the image is not showing up ??

    Oh… Yes, I think I mean the gravatar. I will see if I can change my email address. I just found a thing about linking my .org account with my .com account. What’s the difference and which do I have my blog with? I went through ipage thinking it would be easy! haha! I haven’t got a clue what I’m doing, I thought I would just start typing and the blog would be there!
