    Hi @anish9947,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Currently, we don’t have a smart tag to display the username as the default value of a field. I’ve made a note of the feature request and we’ll keep it on our radar to be reviewed as we plan out our roadmap for the future.

As a workaround, you could create a custom user meta field to load users’ username, as described in the documentation about the {user_meta} smart tag. With this, you should be able to use a smart tag like {user_meta key=”user_login”}.

    Thanks!

    Hi @anish9947,

Thanks for getting back to me and for the following up question.

As I informed you earlier, we don’t have a smart tag to display the username as the default value of a field at the moment. I’ve made a note of the feature request, and we’ll keep it on our radar to be reviewed as we plan out our roadmap for the future.

I apologize that we’re not able to provide the solution you need for now or an ETA if or when this feature will be available.

As a workaround, you can create a custom user meta field to load users’ username, as described in the documentation about the {user_meta} smart tag. With this, you should be able to use a smart tag like {user_meta key=”user_login”}.

Or, you can create a new smart tag for username by following our guide on how to create a custom smart tag.

These would be the solutions we have available right now.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with WPForms Lite.

    Thanks!
