    Hi,
This is a premium plugin so I can’t test it. Please send it to me at [email protected] and I’ll see what I can do. I can’t guarantee it will work, though.

In the meantime, please try experimenting with my plugin filter priority value (available in my plugin’s settings). First try with a low value, such as -1
If it does not help, use very high value: 99999

And tell me if it changes anything.

    Cheers,
    Dan

Excellent new 99999 worked like a charm. Thank you ever so much indeed! I think I have already left a good review however I will leave one if I haven’t. Will add this fix in however with another good review.

Just a quick thought UserPro is very popular so maybe you could add it to the plugins FAQ on the WordPress repository plugin page perhaps so others can be sure to use this plugin?

I can’t stand reading forums to find nobody has posted the answers thinking through clicking on a google result this one might be the charm.

So here you go folks. If you run UserPro and would like this to work with it set the Plugin filter priority from the default 10 to 99999 and bingo the plugin works.

All fix credits go to the plugin author Dev49.net for fixing it.

Hope this helps others. A massive huge thanks to Dev49.net for a speedy reply and simple fix.

    Regards,

    Gareth

    Hi there,
I’m glad it worked out. The filter priority basically specifies the execution order of the plugin. Setting it to high value causes it to be triggered last in chain. In plugin settings this is described as:

If you are using multiple avatar plugins, you can increase or decrease execution priority of this plugin. If WP First Letter Avatar is overriding your other plugins, try changing this to a lower value (for example 9).

But you are right, this is what FAQ is for. I will add this as another question.

I think I have already left a good review however I will leave one if I haven’t.

I don’t see your review, so I would appreciate if you left one ??

I’m marking this thread as resolved.

    Cheers,
    Daniel

    Hello,

I am also using UserPro (2.67, latest version), but your plugin does not work (with high value: 99999).

I will send you a message at [email protected] for help.

    Many thanks.

    Hello,

A precision: “WP First Letter Avatar” seems working with UserPro, but only for log-in users. Guests cannot see “First Letter Avatar” on UserPro members directory.

How to fix so that every visitor can see “First Letter Avatar” for each member, please?

    Many thanks.

    Hi,
If changing the filter priority value does not help, then I’m afraid I will not be able to help you ?? Plugin compatibility is a complex issue. For BuddyPress compatibility I had to develop a separate plugin. UserPro probably uses some complicated mechanisms which are not easy to make compatible with my plugin. So if changing the priority value did not help you, I’m afraid you will have to decide whether you want to use UserPro or WP First Letter Avatar.

    Cheers,
    Daniel
