    Hi guys,

Can anyone help with the following (my knowledge is limited, so I would appreciate it if you can be as detailed as you possibly can):

I need to prevent visitors to my website from accessing /wp-admin/ panel. I want them to access my website content and make comments, but don’t want them to see any “WordPress” related pages from the Dashboard.

  • Visitors can’t access the Dashboard without an account on your site.

Thanks, fonglh. I don’t know whether my question is not clear enough or I don’t understand your answer. My point is that nobody other than me, the author and administrator of my website: https://www.stopthewarondrugs.org, should be able to access my wp-admin panel (profile, settings, etc.)

    You don’t understand my answer.

Nobody can access the wp-admin panel without you giving them access to it by creating a user account for them.

It is possible that you set your site up to allow registrations, but the default level for that is ‘subscriber’, which will not allow them to change settings or play with your posts.

This is the default behaviour. If you are not logged in, you will get a login page when accessing wp-admin. Log out and try it.

Thanks, fonglh, for taking the time to explain it to me so thoroughly. I am relieved that’s the case. Thanks again!
