    Hello.

    I’m trying to give a specific role (Editor) the chance to “read only” donations and donors. But I can’t find a way to make this work.

    I’m well aware of this guide and I’m using “User Role Editor” plugin to customize capabilities.

    But still, the specific capabilities provided by GiveWP seem to do not work. It only works if I edit the core capabilities, thus resulting in hampering the chance for editors to edit/publish/delete standard and custom posts.

    How can I give a user/role the chance to read only GiveWP-related info and still be able to edit other posts?

    Glad to talk to you again!

    Indeed, there are certain capabilities that we need to tweak a bit to make it work. For example, I don’t think we have a capability that allows the user to see the donation/donor and not change it.

    However, if you can list some capabilities here, I’ll be happy to pass them on to the development team. ??

    Also, is there any workaround that you are using? It would be good to hear from you about that too, and what this feature would allow you to do. All ideas are appreciated, and I’m happy to share your insights with the product development team so that they can discuss the feasibility of this feature.

    Hello Matheus.

    Well I don’t have specific capabilities to point out. I was thinking about a generic “read only” capability, both for donations and donors.

    As a workaround I was trying to use CSS to hide and/or disable all links related to editing and edits of donations and donors (as suggested in the guide) but they are, and rightfully so, waaaaaay too many.

    What this feature would allow me to do is to grant a specific role a read only access to GiveWP data, collecting detailed info on received donations and related donors, without the possibility to edit/delete them.
