Users are bypassing default “pending” status upon registration

    Hello! Your plugin on our website has not been setting new registrants with the status of “pending” but setting them as “approved” immediately. Our “pending” page, /wp-admin/admin.php?page=new-user-approve-admin&tab=pending_users just stays empty.

    • I have deleted the _transient_new_user_approve_user_statuses entry within the options table in the DB. Didn’t work.
    • The entry _transient_new_user_approve_user_statuses does show zero entries within the “pending” array in the entry’s value.
    • I have deactivated, deleted and reinstalled the plugin. Didn’t work.
    • I have done a combo of both at once. Didn’t work.
    • New user registrants are showing up within the plugin & within the global user list. Just the status is defaulting to “approved” instead of “pending”.

    Is there a solution for this weird problem? Thank you!
