I’m new to WordPress (blog went live in late December) and very nontechy. Users used to be able to post comments and now they can’t. Friends who have been registering as users in the last several weeks have not been able to comment. The person who was able to comment back in December can no longer comment. I have looked at topics that are the same and I’m not understanding references to code.

I have checked and rechecked my settings for comments and nothing has changed since my one friend was able to post back in December.

Have you reviewed the setting in admin dashboard>settings>discussion> for how much time a comment can be made (the time from post date to present)…by default, your statement would hold true for an old post with default settings…settings which can also be modified by a theme or plugin…or by a user.

I have the same problem, users are not able to comment from my page.

I have checked all settings for comments and also in admin dashboard>settings>discussion and time is unticked. So there should be no problem for people to post…

    Any advice?
